Avoca Central School is proud to offer after-school childcare options

    • Continuing for the 2025-26 school year is an after-school childcare program held at Avoca and operated by the YMCA. This program is for children enrolled in PreK through 12 years of age who attend the Avoca School District. This program will run from school dismissal until 6 pm. Families can choose to enroll their children in a 3-day a week ($100/week) or a 5-day a week ($130/week) program. Contact the YMCA to enroll. Please note: To participate in this program, one must be enrolled in an active YMCA membership. Childcare assistance may be available through ProAction.     • The First Baptist Church of Avoca also offers free after-school care for students in grades K-5. The program is held Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-5:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Avoca. Students will be given snacks, bible lessons, and homework help. There will also be free crafts and games for children. 6-12 Grade After School Program

      • 3:00 - 5:45 PM Monday-Friday (Begins 9/3/25)

      • Located in The Commons

      • 4:15 PM Late Bus (offered Monday-Friday)

        • Waiting for extracurriculars (e.g. athletic practices/contests, club meetings, etc.), transportation, etc..

      • Fitness Room will be available for students M-F from 3:30 - 5:00 PM (Begins 9/3/25)
